My Story

Ready for School

As the mother of two children with dyslexia, I understand the concerns and frustration that often accompany parenting a struggling reader. Not surprisingly, the negative effect on the self-esteem of these kids is profound and often leads them to self-identify as unsuccessful students. The most fulfilling aspect of my teaching is undoubtedly watching my students gain confidence in themselves as readers in particular, and learners in general. I provide instruction to students of all ages, from pre-k to highschool and college.  I work closely with my families and students to create a customized, data-driven plan of action for each student, based on an intensive reading assessment. Please get in touch to learn more about my educational philosophy and how I can help you and your child.
